Born in 1988, Amy Celestina Ndione lives and works in Dakar, Senegal. A graduate of the National School of Arts in Dakar, she develops a hybrid form of painting in which collage plays a central role. Her work, marked by the recurring motif of the sheep’s head and the thread as a symbol of connection, explores the relationships between the individual and the collective, society and civilization. Winner of the First Prize at the International Painting Encounters of Ouagadougou (RIPO) in 2021, she exhibited with the Senegal Pavilion at the Dakar Biennale in 2024. Her works are part of the collections of the Montresso* Foundation in Marrakech and the Museum of Black Civilizations in Dakar.
